Your privacy matters. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it and the choices you have.

Who we are

YourPartner is operated by YourPartner Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (placeholder) ("we", "us"), Registered office address (placeholder), India. We are the Data Fiduciary for the personal data processed through our website and services, as defined in the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act").

Data we collect

  • Account data: name, phone number, email address, password (stored only as a secure hash), city, pincode, gender and year of birth.
  • Profile data (partners): photo, bio, hobbies, services offered, availability and UPI ID for payouts.
  • Verification data (partners): Aadhaar and other KYC documents you upload, and the outcome of our review.
  • Booking data: services booked, dates, meeting city, notes, start-code checks, ratings and reviews.
  • Payment data: order amounts, GST, payment status and references from our payment processor. We do not receive or store full card numbers, CVV or UPI PINs.
  • Technical data: IP address, device and browser type, and security logs used to keep accounts safe and prevent fraud.

How we use your data

  • To create and secure your account, including one-time codes sent by SMS or email.
  • To verify partners' identity before listing them, and to show listed profiles to signed-in members.
  • To process bookings, credits, payments, refunds and partner payouts, and to issue GST records.
  • To share contact details between a client and partner after a booking has been accepted.
  • To provide support, investigate reports and enforce our Terms and Code of Conduct.
  • To comply with legal obligations, such as tax, accounting and lawful requests from authorities.

We process personal data on the basis of the consent you give when you create an account and accept these terms, and for the legitimate uses permitted under Section 7 of the DPDP Act (for example, to comply with law). You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us; this will not affect processing already carried out, and we may then be unable to provide some services to you.

Who we share data with

We never sell your personal data. We share it only as needed to run the service:

  • Other members: listed partner profiles are visible to signed-in members; phone and email are shared only between the two parties to an accepted booking.
  • Service providers (Data Processors): payment processing (Razorpay), SMS and email delivery, cloud hosting and file storage — each bound by contract to protect your data.
  • Authorities: where required by law, court order or to protect someone's safety.

Public pages on our website show only aggregate information (such as the number of partners in a city), never individual profiles.

Aadhaar and KYC documents

KYC documents are stored in private storage, accessible only to authorised reviewers through short-lived links, and used only to verify identity. We encourage you to upload a masked Aadhaar (showing only the last four digits). We do not use Aadhaar for authentication and do not share it with other members.

How long we keep data

We keep personal data only for as long as your account is active or as needed for the purposes above. Transaction and invoice records are retained for the period required by Indian tax and accounting laws (generally up to 8 years). When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

Your rights

Under the DPDP Act you have the right to:

  • access a summary of the personal data we process about you;
  • correct, complete or update inaccurate data (most of it directly from Account Settings);
  • request erasure of data that is no longer needed, subject to legal retention requirements;
  • have your grievance redressed by our Grievance Officer, and then approach the Data Protection Board of India;
  • nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf in case of death or incapacity.

Security

We use encryption in transit, hashed passwords, access controls and audit logs to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure; if we become aware of a personal data breach affecting you, we will notify you and the Data Protection Board as required by law.

Cookies

We use essential cookies only — to keep you signed in and to protect your account. We do not use advertising cookies. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this policy and ask for consent where required.

Age requirement

Our services are only for people aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from children; if we learn we have, we delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version here with a new "Last updated" date and notify you of significant changes.
